Biographical: Hi, I'm Mike, the founder of It's All About The Leaf. I have started the website, because I truly feel that there are never enough tea review websites! Everyone has their individual opinion about a tea, and I want to offer people another point of view.
My own personal tea experience started as a child with Tetley Orange Pekoe tea-bags. Thankfully, as I grew older, I discovered loose leaf teas, and the flavour and superior enjoyment it had to offer! My favorite teas are white teas, I enjoy the subtle taste and light refreshment many have to offer, however, I do not limit myself in any way. I have enjoyed many a tea, from flavoured Rooibos teas, Black, Green, Herbal and concoctions of all makes and models!
My philosophy on tea is that while some experts may decide on characteristics and flavour profiles for a tea, tea is individual, and while the majority of us may not be able to appreciate the subtleties of a particular tea, we can all appreciate the taste. That is what we endeavor to do at IAATL - give you honest opinion, some expert, some not, about a tea. Hopefully you can relate to our reviewers, and discover some teas through them that you may not have dared to try before!
So go forth, and read, enjoy, and buy/taste and experience something different today, you never know what you are going to find!
