Biographical: My name is Jamie and I started drinking tea (good tea) about a decade ago. I am from the west coast, currently live in Montreal and have lived in a dozen cities and towns between here and there. I have a son, three brothers, two dogs (none of whom will fit in my laptop bag). I am a heavily tattooed, tea drinking geek, have been a vegetarian for 19 years and I'm an IT person by profession (education background is in Engineering and Philosophy).
I believe that one of the beautiful things about teas (and tisanes) is their innate ability to take the drinker on a journey, even if only for a few minutes. Licorice root takes me back to my childhood, chewing on licorice root and salmon berries, feeling the moss under my toes... Green teas taking me to the far east, and to dreams of adventures I've yet to have.
