I am not one to sit down and read a book from cover to cover.  I am more of a magazine or collection of poems person.  I guess you could say I have a really short attention span.  So, if you are anything like me you might enjoy this little write-up.  I’m writing as more of a quick reference for those who don’t want to thumb thru pages and pages of information or endless paragraphs just to find out the benefits of Green Tea.  Sure, Green Tea has TONS of benefits and I will list them in short(er) form here.  I figure there are people who might be interested in a few of them and then Google for more in-depth info on their specific needs later.  But let’s face it, when you are talking to a friend about tea, you don’t go thru hours of dialog and keep everyone’s attention.  In a friendly conversation you just rattle off the highlights.

So…without further a-due here is a list of things Green Tea are said to help with…Green Tea helps prevent cavities, strengthens tooth enamel, it can help reduce plaque and bacteria in the mouth.  It’s an anti-inflammatory, helps boost metabolism, it can help with circulation, and is a great antioxidant.  Green Tea helps your immune system, can possible help prevent heart disease and cancer.  It’s believed to reduce cholesterol http://www.green-tea-expert.com/green-tea-and-cholesterol.html as well as LDL-cholesterol.  It’s also said to help keep your blood pressure in-check.  Some doctors suggest Green Tea for their patients with diabetes, acne, and people with bowel problems or digestion.  Green Tea could aid in weight loss and could slow down the aging process!  It’s an excellent and safe during pregnancy http://www.green-tea-expert.com/green-tea-and-pregnancy.html because it provides you with a mild stimulating effect.  Some studies have shown it decreases your risk of stroke, dementia, blood clots, and more.  Some of the more recent studies have been about Eye Health http://www.foodproductdesign.com/news/2010/04/green-tea-promotes-eye-health.aspx and using Green Teas for Detoxification.  And that’s just for starters!

More and more people have been cooking with Green Tea in recent years.  It can be found in candy and gum.  I have heard of a few people using old Green Tea water, Green Tea Bags, or Loose Leaf in their plants or while planting as well as in Cat Litter Boxes to cut back on odor.

The list really does go on and on and more and more doctors are backing Green Tea and each day more studies are being released with their benefits.  If you aren’t much for tea in a cup many herb stores, health stores, whole food co-ops, and other shops now have Green Tea available in pill form as well as powder if you would like to add it to a shake or other food or beverage.  If you still haven’t tried Green Tea…maybe TODAY is that day!?
